Beautification / Historical Commission
Combined into one joint Commission in 2009, the
Beautification/Historical Commission is another panel entrusted with
making the township a great place to live, work and play is the
community's Beautification/Historical Commission.
Whether it's planting flowers at Township Hall, encouraging businesses to keep their buildings and grounds attractive or sponsoring community cleanup efforts, the commission puts the "you" in beauty. The Historical arm of the Commission acts to protect and preserve historical sites within the Township. Working with the Brownstown Historical Society, the Commission has helped preserve and update the Township Historical Museum on King Road, relocated and opened for public viewing the historical cannons in Lake Erie Metropark, and raised awareness of the corduroy road in the south end of the Township.
